The big trial in „Hired Guns” isn`t too Christmas, aside from the fact that the defense and prosecution are trying to claim the party in their opening statements, but it`s an interesting look at how far talented lawyers will go to win a trial if the evidence greatly favors the other party. What`s Christmassy is the opening scene of the Christmas party at the office of Crane, Poole and Schmidt, where Denny breaks Christmas carols with sexy singers, while Alan walks around with mistletoe on his head, looking for a kiss, either for himself or between some of the beautiful women he works with („Maybe you should both kiss each other in the name of Christmas.”) When he gets one, it`s not Tara, but Lori, whose outward disgust for Alan hides an attraction that is clear to everyone but her; It was a shame that the producers let Monica Potter go before they could fully explore this brewing craze. Later, Alan uses mistletoe again, this time a huge bush on the ceiling of his desk, to trick Tara into a kiss; This leads to an instinctive scene in which Tara uses her incomparable sensuality to turn against her mischievous beloved. Although this is a relatively new series, Boston Legal`s Christmas episodes have already become chestnuts. – March 13, 2005 / Episode 16: „Let Sales Ring” Carl Reiner plays Milton Bombay, an old opponent of Denny Crane and Shirley Schmidt`s law, who asks the courts to freeze him for another century and have him stored in a cryonics institute so he can continue his legacy as a great lawyer and needs Denny and Shirley to defend him.
